Biography

The 35th President of the United States was John F. Kennedy, also known by the initials JFK. He was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts, and held the office of president from January 20, 1961, until his death.

Kennedy, a Democrat, is renowned for his engaging demeanor, motivational talks, and young appearance. When he won the presidency in 1960 at the age of 43, he was the youngest person to hold the office.

The Apollo space program was started by the Kennedy administration with the intention of successfully landing a man on the moon in 1969. He also founded the Peace Corps, a volunteer group that aids underdeveloped countries.
